Doctoral researcher
University of Bergen, Centre for Deep Sea Research
- Planned and conducted field, laboratory, and analytical research, from sampling and preparation to quality-assured analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Analyzed biological and chemical samples; developed reproducible laboratory protocols and performed microbiological and molecular analyses, including cultivation, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and sequencing.
- Developed reproducible analysis workflows in Python and R for data cleaning, statistical modeling, and the visualization of large biological (DNA and RNA) and chemical (ICP-OES, IC, and QuAAtro) datasets.
- Applied statistical methods, machine learning, and neural networks to identify patterns, evaluate models, and produce interpretable results from large datasets.
- Coordinated interdisciplinary research from experimental design and fieldwork through publication, and communicated findings and recommendations through international collaboration, teaching, and conferences in Norwegian and English.
